PVC Poison Plastic

For virtually all PVC applications, safer alternatives exist, using more sustainable, traditional materials - such as paper, wood or local materials. PVC can also be replaced by a variety of other, less environmentally damaging plastics.
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is unique in its high chlorine and additives content, which makes it an environmental poison throughout its life cycle. Vinyl chloride is a known human carcinogen. PVC releases dioxin and other persistent organic pollutants during its manufacture and disposal and cannot be readily recycled due to it chlorine and additive content. Furthermore, additives are not bound to the plastic and leach out.

It consists of 3 layers:
" on the outside we use webbed Polyamid (PA), for strength and durability and to make sowing possible
" as a middle layer, we use black Polyethylene (PE) to guarantee that it is lightproof
" the inner layer is white PE to ensure maximum reflection and perfect ability to clean

I am so glad about my Homebox XL, i feel the deep need to tell my little story:

I had bought a competitors box before knowing about the Homeboxes. Soon after setting it up and getting started, my plants started yellowing and wilting, and finally died. This happened again with the new plants i put inside of the "hut", and after the third attempt and a lot of changes to airiation, soil and nutes, it was clear that the "thing" causing it had to be something else. I then planted plants outside of the "hut", and as soon as i did that, all was fine agian. When putting them into the "hut", soon the problems would arise. So i finally was sure about what caused this ominous plant death. The "hut" itself. I then found out on different forums, that i was not alone. Many people had these problems. I thought, all "hut" or "tents" or "boxes" were alike, but soon i found out, that all people owning a "Homebox", were not complaining at all. So i went to get myself a "Homebox XL".
